This study demonstrates […]

APT’s Innovation Spotlight Talk at DDL 2022

APT’s Development Director Dr. Jasdip Koner, delivered an innovation spotlight talk at the brilliant DDL 2022 conference. This was such a great experience from start to finish, made more enjoyable interacting and answering questions regarding our proprietary low shear isothermal dry particle coating (iDPC) technology. iDPC manufactures precise and controllable mono, double and triple fixed […]

Isothermal Dry Particle Coating for Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) Formulations by Design

We are delighted to be releasing the first of two papers titled “Isothermal Dry Particle Coating (iDPC) – Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) Formulations by Design: Controlled and Controllable Manufacture of Fixed Dose Combinations” delivered by Jasdip Koner, with co-authors Shital Lungare, Amandip Gill, Rhys Jones, David Wyatt and AfzalRahman Mohammed at Drug Delivery to the Lungs (DDL) 2022. The paper makes several key formulation […]

APT Launches New Website

APT proudly launches a new website, showcasing its innovative iDPC technology with applications in respiratory, oral, and biological formulations – the future of powder formulation development.  Aston Particle Technologies is proud to announce the launch of its new updated website, designed to provide comprehensive information about the company’s proprietary low shear isothermal dry particle coating […]

Aston University – APT Co-Sponsored PhD has Started!

APT’s first co-sponsored PhD project has now started at Aston University. The PhD will provide insight into how iDPC can formulate amino acids as adjuvants and modulate the subsequent buccal transport of biologicals. Our first steps to investigating iDPC’s applicability to developing oral vaccines! Watch this space!

Our First Placement Student Experience

APT’s first undergraduate placement has come to an end. Tahreem Javaid was a great asset to the company over the past year and has put in remarkable effort despite the ups and downs of the Covid pandemic. Tahreem assisted in the delivery of both internal and external projects and developed into a wonderful scientist over […]

2 New Placement Students Join the Team

APT are delighted to welcome two new sandwich degree placement students to our team. Isobel Clark is joining from Aston University’s Biomedical Science course and Janesh Kumar is joining from Aston University’s Biochemistry course. We are excited to have you on board for the year!

Patent Granted!

APT are excited to announce that the fundamental Patent covering the iDPC technology has been granted in the US and Japan in summer 2021 following approval in the Europe in January 2020. Our second patent is following and a third patent will be submitted! This recognition by the various patent offices exemplifies the unique hardware […]

APT to Co-sponsor first PhD with Aston University

Congratulations to Professor Afzal Mohammed for the award of an MIBTP and BBSRC funded PhD looking at the Mechanistic evaluation of amino acids as adjuvants in modulating buccal transport of biologicals. APT will co-sponsor their first PhD and provide support during formulation development and mechanistic assessment of the manufactured materials. This is an exciting milestone […]
