We are delighted to be releasing the first of two papers titled “Isothermal Dry Particle Coating (iDPC) – Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) Formulations by Design: Controlled and Controllable Manufacture of Fixed Dose Combinations” delivered by Jasdip Koner, with co-authors Shital Lungare, Amandip Gill, Rhys Jones, David Wyatt and AfzalRahman Mohammed at Drug Delivery to the Lungs (DDL) 2022.
The paper makes several key formulation and methodological contributions towards a controlled and predictable manufacturing process for the development of fixed dose combination dry powder inhaler formulations (mono, double and triple) using a Quality by Design approach.
The publication presents iDPC, a patented alternative low shear dry powder formulation/manufacturing technology with distinct advantages compared to the standard manufacturing processes currently used across the industry.
APT is grateful to the organisers and technical reviewers at DDL 2022 for this opportunity. Our paper is open-access and free to download using the link below.
